Shakira will be releasing her tenth-studio album this Tuesday on March 25th. In today’s culture, entertainment and beauty all blend together. The anticipation of makeup and fashion affiliated with an album is sometimes just as exciting as the music. The Colombian singer-songwriter and The Voice judge is always known to draw the attention to her hips and lips and this time is no different.
On the cover she has a bold colored lip with minimal shine but very vibrant and rosy. This can be achieved by using a lip stain. Lip stains are great for providing exceptional pigment that will not transfer or feather. Chanel’s Rouge Double Intensité Ultra Wear Lip is one on the best lip stains on the market. I recommend shade Sensual Rose to duplicate Shakira’s look. (Tip: before applying a lip stain, make sure to moisturize)
Shakira’s blush compliments her lips very well. The balance of color is perfect and a great tip is to take a creamy lip stain and apply the same product on both your lips and cheeks. I recommend using Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks in shade rose. This multi-tasking product is a bestselling item and is so lovely and creamy.
With just a little deep brown eyeliner and full lashes on the top and bottom, Shakira’s eyes are stunning and piercing. The goal is to keep it simple by applying just liner and mascara. Feel free to go heavy with the liner but to be sure to keep the color soft and gentle. Line the entire eye with a brown liner like MAC Eye Kohl in shade Costa Riche mixed with a bit of Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in shade Roach and smudge it by blending the product very well with a small shader brush like Crown Brush Chisel Shader.
The foundation that she is wearing on the cover is a matte finish and matches the skin so well making it look natural. It’s not too shiny or dull. The skin looks healthy and fresh but not distracting. One of my favorite foundations with a matte finish is Make Up For Ever HD Foundation. I love this product and recommend it to everyone because it comes in 26 different shades.
